1/3 cup mayonnaise 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives 1 tablespoon Sriracha 1 1/2 teaspoons grated garlic 1 1/2 teaspoons lemon juice 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/8 teaspoon ground pepper 1 (15.5-ounce) can no-salt-added chickpeas, drained 2 (5-ounce) cans solid white tuna in water, drained 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion 8 slices whole-wheat bread 4 leaves green-leaf lettuce
STEP-1
Whisk mayonnaise, chives, Sriracha, garlic, lemon juice, salt and pepper together in a small bowl.
STEP-2
Place chickpeas in a medium bowl. Using a fork, press and roughly smash some of the chickpeas (it’s OK if some remain whole).
STEP-3
Add tuna to the chickpeas; stir to combine, using the fork to flake the tuna. Add the mayonnaise mixture and onion; stir until well combined.
STEP-4
Spread the mixture evenly over 4 bread slices (about 1/2 cup each).
STEP-5
Top each with 1 lettuce leaf and top with the remaining bread slices.
