Carne Asada Recipe

INGREDIENTS

1½ pounds flank steak ▢⅓ cup olive oil ▢3 tablespoons lime juice ▢½ cup cilantro, chopped ▢4 teaspoons minced garlic ▢1 teaspoon cumin powder ▢½ teaspoon chili powder ▢salt and pepper to taste

STEP-1

Make marinade by combining olive oil, lime juice, cilantro, minced garlic, cumin, and chili powder in a small bowl.

STEP-2

Add steak to the bowl or to a baking dish (with marinade poured over) making sure meat is coated and marinate for 2-3 hours.

STEP-3

Heat grill to medium-high heat and cook meat for 5-7 minutes on each side.

Let meat rest on a cutting board for 5 minutes.

Slice meat at an angle against the grain with a sharp knife and serve warm.
